Partly covered: Vauxhall published February 2016, January 2017 and August 2017 Astra handbooks that could apply to a 2017 car, and their fuse charts differ. Vauxhall doesn’t say which cars each edition applies to, so we can’t tell which one matches a particular 2017 Astra. Every official chart is shown below — check the edition printed near the end of your handbook, or compare with the fuse box legend in your car, before removing anything.

Fuses near the vehicle battery
How to get to it
Additional fuses are located near the vehicle battery.
Our source doesn’t describe how to open this fuse box. Check your owner’s handbook.
Find it by its handbook number
Vauxhall’s handbook lists these as fuses near the vehicle battery, separate from the fuse boxes. Its picture of them doesn’t give enough positional detail for a trustworthy map, so we don’t draw one.
Use the fuse numbers and the picture of this area in your owner’s manual to identify each fuse, and check it against the handbook before removing anything.

Tools that may help
Fuse assortment kit
Spare blade fuses in common ratings, so you can swap a blown one at the roadside.
Fuse puller
Grips small fuses without damaging them. Many fuse boxes have one clipped inside the lid.
Digital multimeter
Confirms whether a fuse or socket actually has power, instead of guessing.
