Partly covered: Vauxhall issued an Astra handbook between its January 2014 and August 2014 editions that it does not publish, so its fuse chart cannot be checked. A 2014 Astra may have that handbook — check the edition printed in your handbook, or compare with the fuse box legend in your car, before removing anything.
Engine compartment fuse box
How to get to it
The fuse box is in the front left of the engine compartment.
- Disengage the cover and fold it upwards until it stops.
- Remove the cover vertically upwards.
- After having changed defective fuses, close the fuse box cover and press until it engages.
- If the fuse box cover is not closed correctly, malfunction may occur.
Fuse chart
Vauxhall’s handbook lists fuse numbers and circuits only — it doesn’t print fuse ratings. Replace a fuse with one of the same rating as the fuse you remove.

Tools that may help
Fuse assortment kit
Spare blade fuses in common ratings, so you can swap a blown one at the roadside.
Fuse puller
Grips small fuses without damaging them. Many fuse boxes have one clipped inside the lid.
Digital multimeter
Confirms whether a fuse or socket actually has power, instead of guessing.
